CLEMSON, SC — TCI takes a look back at #14 Clemson’s (21-7, 7-5) 4-3 series-clinching win over Pittsburgh (13-11, 5-7) on Sunday afternoon at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
What happened?
The Panthers took an early 1-0 lead on back-to-back one-out hits in the first inning. The Tigers came back to tie the game in the third on an infield RBI single from Chris Okey. After Pittsburgh plated two runs in the fifth to take a 3-1 lead, Clemson had to again come back and answer on a two-out, two-run single from Chris Williams. The Tigers would plate the winning run in the eighth on a RBI single from Jordan Greene and go on to win their third ACC series of the season.
