ATHENS, GA — TCI looks back at Clemson’s 4-0 win over Georgia on Tuesday night at Foley Field.
What happened?
The Tigers (25-5) jumped to another early lead in the first inning as Logan Davidson led off with a single and Chris Williams followed with a two-out, two-run homer to make it 2-0. After that, both Clemson and the Bulldogs (13-17) threatened several other times in the game before the Tigers finally broke through for two big insurance runs in the ninth. Drew Wharton led off with a single and Robert Jolly drew a walk before a sac bunt moved both runners into scoring position.
