The Clemson Insider takes a look back at No. 6 Clemson’s 3-2 win over Georgia Tech on Friday afternoon at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
What happened?
The Tigers (13-1, 1-0 ACC) took an early 1-0 lead as Seth Beer launched a solo homer in the first inning. Clemson doubled their lead in the third when Bryce Teodosio hit a solo shot to make it 2-0. The Yellow Jackets (9-4, 0-1 ACC) cut the deficit to 2-1 with a run in the fourth before eventually tying it at 2-2 after an eighth inning run. The Tigers answered immediately as Logan Davidson led off the bottom of the eighth with a single and moved to third on a Beer single before coming in to score on a RBI single from Patrick Cromwell to give Clemson a 1-0 lead in the weekend series with a 3-2 win.
