What happened?
The Paladins (2-8) struck first in the bottom of the first inning. Following a one-out walk, they hit back-to-back two-out singles for an early 1-0 lead. The Tigers (9-3) answered in the fourth inning with two runs. Grayson Byrd drew a leadoff walk while Kyle Wilkie, Bryar Hawkins, and Jordan Greene hit consecutive singles to tie the game at 1-1. With the bases loaded, Adam Hackenberg lifted a sac fly into centerfield to plate Wilkie and give Clemson a 2-1 lead.
