Deal (6-5, 230) nabbed his first offer from NC State in November before Georgia gave him his second in December.
A day after the Bulldogs offered, Clemson tight ends coach Danny Pearman got in touch with Deal.
“The day after Georgia offered, I actually got a call from coach Pearman,” Deal told The Clemson Insider. “I was talking to him, and he said not to worry because Clemson kind of waits a long time (to offer).
