A physically imposing offensive lineman from the Peach State drew a visit from a Clemson coach last month during the NCAA contact period.
Recruiting coordinator Brandon Streeter stopped by Creekview High School in Canton, Ga., to check in on 2020 offensive tackle John Williams.
“We introduced ourselves,” Williams told TCI, “then he told me to definitely come to camp and come (in the) spring.”
Just a sophomore, Williams stands at 6-foot-6, 260 pounds. He received his first scholarship offer from Memphis in January, while NC State and Georgia Tech also visited his school during the contact period.
