CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Five former Clemson players came to Charlotte, N.C., on Wednesday night to play Ben Boulware and the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium.
One of those five players is former Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson, who made his NFL debut. Former defensive tackle Carlos Watkins is also playing for the Texans. Watson was drafted this past April by the Texans at No. 12 overall in the NFL Draft, while Watkins was a fourth-round pick.
Also on the Texans’ team from Clemson is wide receiver Deandre Hopkins, defensive tackle D.J. Reader and defensive back Marcus Gilchrist.
