Clemson’s 2018 football recruiting class will be small in number but large in star power, especially out of the state of Georgia.
On Monday night the Tigers landed another top prospect from the Peach State in 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive lineman Darnell Jefferies of Covington. He’s the third highly recruited player from the state to pick the Tigers for the 2018 class, joining quarterback Trevor Lawrence of Cartersville and defensive end Justin Mascoll of Snellville. His commitment gives the Tigers 10 for the class.
Jefferies was no stranger around Clemson during the process leading up to his commitment.
