CLEMSON – Clemson loves playing top-five teams in the friendly environs of Littlejohn Coliseum.
John Newman scored a career-high 23 points and Clemson raced out to a big halftime lead as the Tigers knocked off No. 5 Louisville 77-62 at Littlejohn Coliseum Saturday afternoon, the second top-five team Clemson has beaten this season.
The Tigers improve to 13-12 overall and 7-8 in the ACC, while Louisville falls to 215 overall and 12-3 in the league.
The Tigers have wins over two top-five wins in the same season for the first time since 1979-80 and just the fourth time overall.
