Following their series sweep over Wake Forest last weekend, Clemson picked up right where they left off defeating the fourth-ranked Louisville Cardinals with a score of 11-3 at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in Clemson.
The Tigers took command quickly in Friday’s matchup with the spotlight on freshman Caden Grice who, in his first three at-bats of the game, hit a grand slam, a solo homer, and a three-run homer good for eight of Clemson’s eleven runs.
With a stellar performance at the plate, Grice finished the night 3-for-5 at the plate with three runs, three homers, and a career-high eight RBIs, the most by a Tiger since Tyler Colvin in 2006.
