ATLANTA — The Tigers scored eight runs on 14 hits, but it wasn’t enough Saturday at Russ Chandler Stadium. Georgia Tech crushed the Clemson bullpen on their way to a 13-8 victory. It was the ninth straight ACC loss.
Mat Clark returned from injury and went 4.2 innings and gave up five hits, four runs and four earned runs.
The Tigers took the lead in the second inning. Kyle Wilkie singled to right field. With one out Jordan Greene singled advancing Wilkie to second. Justin Hawkins singled with two away to score Wilkie.
Georgia Tech plated on in the second to tie the game.
