Georgia DB excited about Clemson's offer

On Thursday night, Clemson defensive backs coach Mike Reed passed along word of an offer to Michael Carter II, a three-star safety from Douglasville, Ga.

Carter (5-11, 175) tweeted the news later that night.

“He told me he loved my film and how I was doing in the classroom,” Carter said. “He asked me how many offers I had and I told him. Then he said, ‘I thought Clemson was in there.’”

UNC, Duke, Wake Forest, Appalachian State, Troy and Georgia State were included on the list Carter rattled off, before Reed dropped the hint.

“I was shocked for a minute and I asked him if he was for real and he laughed and said, ‘Yes we would like to offer you,’” Carter said.
