Game MVP Travis Etienne "took it over" in ACC title game

CHARLOTTE, NC – A rainy night in Charlotte demanded a team be able to run the football with success. Enter Clemson running back Travis Etienne.

Etienne, the reigning ACC Most Valuable Player for the 2018 season, earned ACC Championship Game Most Valuable Player honors after rushing for 156 yards on 12 carries. Etienne added two touchdowns, including a 75-yarder on the game’s first play from scrimmage that now stands as the longest play from scrimmage in ACC Championship Game history.

That wasn’t all the sophomore accomplished - Etienne tied Wayne Gallman (34 from 2014-16) for third on the school's leaderboard for career rushing touchdowns.
