From Clemson legend to Oakland Raiders: Hunter Renfrow drafted

Hunter Renfrow is ready for his NFL career to begin.

The Tigers receiver was selected Saturday by the Oakland Raiders in the fifth round of the NFL Draft.

Renfrow was the recipient of the Burlsworth Trophy, and award that goes to the nation’s most outstanding college football player who was a former walk on.

Renfrow starred as a quarterback at Socastee High and had an incredible Clemson career as a receiver.

He caught a pair of touchdowns in three national championship games against Alabama, including the game-winner Jan. 9, 2017. In 2019, Renfrow set the Clemson record for most consecutive starts by a wide receiver and most consecutive games with a catch.
