Former Clemson track star Brianna Rollins won the gold medal in the 100-meter hurdles on Wednesday at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Rollins became the first Clemson female athlete in school history to win an Olympic Gold Medal and the first Clemson athlete to win won since Shawn Crawford won the men’s 200-meter in the 2004 Games.
Rollins is a two-time USA champion and 2013 World champion in the event. She owns the second-best time in the world this season at 12.34, and previously held the American record with a personal best 12.26.
Rollins won three NCAA titles at Clemson and set collegiate indoor and outdoor records in 2013.
