Former Clemson Star Has Free Agent Visit with NFC Team

A former Clemson star, and current NFL free agent, reportedly met with an NFC team on Monday.

The Green Bay Packers brought in Isaiah Simmons on a free agent visit, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Simmons, a versatile linebacker, has spent the last two seasons playing for the New York Giants. The 6-foot-4, 238-pounder was traded to New York from the Arizona Cardinals prior to the 2023 season and then re-signed with the Giants as an unrestricted free agent last offseason.

A first-round pick of the Cardinals (eighth overall) in 2020, Simmons played at Clemson from 2016-19.
