Former Clemson All-American golfer Kyle Stanley gets another PGA tour win.
Stanley defeated Charles Howell III in a 1-round playoff to win the 2017 Quicken Loans National in Potomac, MD. He hit a 5-foot par putt to give him the win and a final score of seven under.
After finishing 44th in the same tournament last year and 57th in last week’s Travelers Championship, Stanley received a hefty check of $1.278 million from the $7.1 million tournament purse for his first place finish.
With the victory, he earned his second PGA tour win and moved up from 34th to 14th in the FedExCup standings.
