DURHAM, NC – Clemson struggled at the plate with runners in scoring position going 0-8 as they fell to Duke 2-1 Sunday afternoon at Jack Coombs field.
Alex Eubanks had an impressive performance for the Tigers going 6.1 innings and only giving up five hits, two runs and two earned runs. He finished with six strikeouts and one walk.
Clemson took the lead in the top of the fourth. Chris Okey singled down the left field line before Seth Beer singled up the middle. Reed Rohlman hit what looked like a double play ball but the ball got away at first and Okey came around to score.
