With No. 17 Clemson needing a spark on Saturday, senior Mark Donnal obliged. The Michigan transfer came off the bench to score 12 points, including two late three-pointers to put the Tigers on top for good in their 72-63 victory over No. 18 Miami at Littlejohn Coliseum.
Following a 9-2 Miami run to tie the game, and with Miami with possession of the ball, Donnal swatted away the shot of Chris Lykes and then went down to the other end of the floor and drained a three-pointer to put the Tigers back in front.
On Clemson’s next possession, Donnal again drained a three-pointer and just like that the Tigers had a 50-44 lead with 9:56 to play in the game.
