The Tigers (13-1) earned their first ACC win over Georgia Tech (9-4) Friday night at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
Logan Davidson began the eighth inning with a single to right center followed by a Seth Beer single which would advance Davidson to third base. Senior Patrick Cromwell’s (1-4) singled up the middle scoring Logan Davidson to secure Clemson’s 3-2 win.
“I was trying to hit a fly ball to center field so if the pitch was outside, I’d hit a fly ball out to left, if it was inside I could turn around and hit a fly ball out to the right,” Cromwell said.
