CLEMSON – It was not dramatic. It did not take fifteen innings or six hours. There were no grand slams or walk-off runs like last year’s matchup. Despite a usual flair for dramatics, the second-ranked Clemson Tigers found a way to dominate No. 10 Georgia on the mound and reclaim bragging rights with a no-drama 3-0 shutout win at Doug Kingsmore Stadium Tuesday night.
In 42 games this season, the Bulldogs have averaged over nine runs per game, with a batting average of .299. Georgia’s second and third hitters in the lineup, second baseman Robbie Burnett and Ryland Zaborowski, lead the SEC with 17 and 16 home runs, respectively.
