Clemson went back on the road this week to take on Wake Forest in Winston-Salem. After Trevor Lawrence went out early in the games last week with a neck/head injury, the loss of Kelly Bryant was briefly amplified but Chase Brice quickly dispelled the fears and led the Tigers back to win. Earlier in the week it was announced that Lawrence would play against the Demon Deacons, much to the relief of Tiger nation. There was concern that the Wake up-tempo offense might give the Tiger defense some trouble, but that never materialized.
Wake won the toss and deferred.
