A former Clemson men’s basketball player has found his new college home.
Asa Thomas announced his commitment to a SoCon school – Furman – on Monday.
Last month, Thomas became the first Clemson player to enter his name into the transfer portal after the Tigers’ season ended in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
The 6-foot-7, 200-pound forward redshirted in 2023-’24, then missed most of this past season due to injury. In 2023-’24, he underwent season-ending shoulder surgery and redshirted the season.
Thomas played in 12 games overall this past season (27 total minutes) and averaged 1.
