It always feels great to beat South Carolina in anything, but it was especially great to see the baseball Tigers win their annual series against the Gamecocks for the second consecutive year after not winning a series against the Gamecocks since 2010. Expectations were low for the Tigers going into Monte Lee's first year, but I think they have to change given Clemson's excellent start to the season. After losing the opening game in Columbia by a score of 8-1 it looked like it was going to be a long weekend for the Tigers. However, the Tigers bounced back nicely winning 5-0 over the Gamecocks in Greenville on Saturday and taking the rubber match by a score of 4-1 on Sunday in Clemson.
