While it seemed the transfer portal had been opened wide by the NCAA, it looks like they have decided to tighten their standards a bit.
While one time transfers are allowed with immediate eligibility, some two time transfers have been denied their appeals with the NCAA to play immediately.
This means unless something changes quickly, they will not be able to play this season, and will have to wait for 2024.
The first denied appeal revealed on Tuesday was Florida State’s Darrell Jackson, a defensive tackle transferring from Miami after spending his freshman season at Maryland.
