One of Clemson’s scholarship offers this past week went out to Rocky Mount (N.C.) 2019 cornerback Shyheim Battle.
Battle (6-2, 175) learned of the offer from newly hired Clemson 10th assistant coach Lemanski Hall.
“Clemson called my coach (Wednesday) morning, and my coach told me he wanted me to call him,” Battle told TCI. “So I called him at 12 (Wednesday), and we spoke over the phone.”
Clemson made a move to the top of Battle’s list with the offer and is now one of the co-leaders at this point in his recruitment.
“My top two with NC State,” Battle said when asked where the Tigers stand.
