During a webcast on Friday afternoon, four-star defensive end Xavier Kelly announced that he is committed to Clemson.
A rising senior at Wichita-East, Kelly chose Clemson over Georgia, Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, Kansas State, Oregon and TCU.
Kelly was on campus in Tigertown twice this summer. After the May 31 visit, he was back for the fourth-annual All-In Cookout.
Brent Venables served as the Tigers’ lead recruiter.
“They develop a lot of defensive players. They have a great coaching staff. I feel comfortable around the coaches and they have a a great environment,” Kelly told TCI, after his first visit to Clemson.
