Clemson kicker Ammon Lakip was arrested in June for DUI refusal and cocaine possession by campus police. Since then, his punishment with the team has been in question.
On Thursday afternoon, he finally got the news he knew was coming.
According to Tiger Net, Lakip was suspended for the first three games of the 2015 season. Head coach Dabo Swinney talked about Lakip following Thursday’s practice scrimmage, which the senior was not allowed to participate in.
“He was here, but no we didn’t work him,” Swinney said about Lakip. “Ammon will miss the first three games.
