Clemson has a good problem at catcher.
With the return of Chris Williams for his senior year, the Tigers have perhaps the best depth at the position of any team in the ACC and arguably the country.
Williams decided to return to Tigertown last summer despite being drafted in the 31st round by the Tampa Bay Rays. He missed most of the last six weeks of the season due to a shoulder injury that kept away from behind the plate and limited what he could do with a bat in his hand.
While Williams was out of the lineup, Kyle Wilkie, now a sophomore, developed into a dependable player both offensive and defensively behind the plate.
