The Clemson Insider has confirmed that Clemson and Georgia are trying to work out a deal to play each other in a neutral site game in Charlotte to start the 2021 season.
The game will be the season-opener for both schools and will be played on Sept. 4, TCI has learned. The Stadium’s Brett McMurphy first reported the news Tuesday on Twitter.
Clemson nor Georgia has officially announced the new game. The Bulldogs and Tigers are officially schedule to played in 2024, also a neutral site game at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
