Clemson football fans didn’t necessarily get the freshman performance from Joseph Ngata that they expected heading into the 2020 season.
Expectations from many around Clemson football circles were that Ngata- a big body at 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds- was going to come into the program and become a dominant boundary threat from the get-go.
He finished the year with 17 receptions for 230 yards (14.1 YPC) and three touchdowns.
Despite only finishing with an average of a little over one catch per game, there were certainly signs and flashes of what Ngata could end up being during that 2019 season.
