Kelly Bryant, who started every single game last season and four games this season, announced that he would be transferring out of the Clemson football program Wednesday morning.
The news was first reported by Manie Robinson at The Greenville News.
Bryant made the transfer decision following being beaten out by freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence for the starting position.
Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney said that both guys would play going forward, but that Lawrence had earned the right to start based on his performance in the first four games in his press conference Tuesday.
