USC players’ racial slur (non)story: In case you have been without television or internet service in the last week, there was a bit of a hullabaloo after last week’s Palmetto State showdown. Basically, several South Carolina Gamecock players accused Clemson players of taunting them with racial slurs. The news outlets ran with it,but now it seems as if it was a fabrication. After actually checking with the players who made the accusations, the USC players backtracked quickly and stated that it might have been fans who made the nasty comments. Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney, in a rare moment of snark, denounced the media outlets that posted the story for being a bunch of irresponsible jackals.
