The Tigers were known for winning a big game and then turning around losing to a team that they shouldn’t. As a result, Clemson missed out on several chances to win the ACC Atlantic and compete for a conference title.
As a matter of fact, the season before Tommy Bowden was fired and Dabo Swinney became the interim, Clemson was just one win away from clinching the ACC Atlantic Division and potentially winning a conference title.
