Saturday’s matchup between the Clemson Tigers and the Appalachian State Mountaineers went just as everyone expected it to, with Clemson coming out on top 41-10. The equivalent to pre-season is officially over for Clemson football, as the 2-0 Tigers head into week three preparing for a road trip to Louisville. Although the matchup between Clemson and Appalachian State wasn’t necessarily primetime television, there was some profit gained by the Tigers in this blowout. So, my three takeaways:
First and foremost, Deshaun Watson continued to impress and I can’t describe my excitement for watching this kid against a legitimate threat of an opponent.
