This upcoming season will be the last year Clemson football has with quarterback Deshaun Watson.
We all know what we have in Watson, but what will the position look like in 2017 when Watson is in the NFL?
Many believe that Kelly Bryant is the heir to the quarterback throne after Watson is gone, but is that the case? I believe we will have a great battle for the starting position next season and some of that may be decided this year in fall camp when the coaching staff look at what is behind Deshaun Watson.
2017 Clemson football quarterback position:
- Kelly Bryant, junior
- Zerrick Cooper, redshirt freshman or true sophomore
- Tucker Israel, redshirt sophomore
- Chase Brice, true freshman
- Hunter Johnson, true freshman
In my opinion, you will see Kelly Bryant as the true-junior with the first shot at the starting spot.
