Clemson football team helps student after scary car crash near practice field

The Clemson football team had an unusual ending to its practice on Tuesday night.

As the Tigers were finishing up workouts, a Clemson student had a car wreck near the practice field at approximately 6:20 p.m.

Clemson student athletic trainers, managers and staff provided aid to the student, whose name is Clary Miles, Clemson announced Wednesday afternoon.

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney was addressing his team when the loud collision occurred on Perimeter Road above the east end of the practice facility. The team was gathered 300 yards from the scene of the accident.

Seconds after the collision, it was apparent that a car was sliding down the side of the steep embankment.
