The Pickens County Council presented Clemson’s football program the Key to the County during a private ceremony following Monday’s practice behind the Allen Reeves Football Complex in Clemson.
“This is pretty special,” Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney said afterwards. “We are going to hang this proudly in the office so everybody can see it. All of these guys came out and I appreciate them putting this together and giving us this recognition.”
In a release, the Pickens County Council wrote, throughout the 2016 football season, the Clemson Tigers diligently competed and were fully determined to become national champions.
