Clemson football is originally scheduled to play Georgia Southern at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, but Hurricane Florence could have something to say about that.
While the effects of the Hurricane are not expected to be fully in force in the upstate of South Carolina until sometime Sunday, there are many factors that go into a decision like this.
State troopers will not be readily available to work the game. That presents troubles as close to 100,000 people would be making their way to and from the game. That’s including Georgia Southern faithful who would have to travel back to their homes, most likely in tropical storm force winds.
