Dorman High School offensive lineman Mason Trotter had planned to accept a preferred walk-on offer from Clemson football despite having a few full scholarship offers, including one at Louisville.
On Tuesday, he got a call from Offensive Line Coach Robbie Caldwell who made him a scholarship offer.
Trotter accepted the grayshirt offer and officially signed a National Letter of Intent to play at Clemson during National Signing Day.
While he is only considered a 2-star by the major recruiting services, Trotter has the ability to develop into a solid offensive lineman before his Clemson football career comes to an end.
