Clemson Football has another appointment to a preseason watchlist.
Jeremiah Trotter has been named to the Walter Camp Player of the Year preseason watchlist, an award given annually to the best player in college football, regardless of position.
The award is given by the Walter Camp Football Foundation and is named after Walter Camp, a player, and coach who was instrumental in the development of the game in its early days.
The award was first bestowed in 1967. Last season’s winner was Caleb Williams from USC. A Clemson player has never won the award.
