Derion Kendrick came to Clemson football as a talented 5-star athlete slated to play wide receiver.
Kendrick played quarterback in high school, but had competed at wide receiver and proven to the scouts and coaching staffs around the nation that he was capable of being an elite receiver talent at the next level.
He finished his freshman season with 15 receptions for 210 yards offensively and earned the starter position at kick returner.
While we didn’t see a ton of Kendrick in 2018, we’re going to see an added dose of him in 2019.
Kendrick was just a broken tackle away from a couple of touchdowns in 2018.
