I have been impressed with Cornell Powell thus far in preseason.
He has showed up and showed out in every sense of the phrase and Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney has already announced that he will avoid a redshirt.
Powell is fast, shifty, and does a great job in open space. All those characteristics make him deadly for an opposing defense.
That being said, where could Clemson football use Powell?
Is he really going to steal snaps away from the likes of guys like Trevion Thompson, Ray Ray McCloud, or Deon Cain? Let’s take a look at where Powell’s role may fall this season.
