Bryton Constantin will redshirt his freshman season.
It’s not necessarily because Clemson football couldn’t use him this season at linebacker, but because of an injury he suffered just a few months ago. Constantin tore his ACL and underwent surgery.
He’ll be on campus later this summer, but is planning to redshirt to rehab the injury.
He probably won’t be back at 100 percent until around January of next year, but there is a chance that Constantin could get cleared to play late in the season and contribute, potentially on special teams, in up to four games and still maintain his redshirt.
