The 2020 Clemson football spring camp was cut short due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, but the Tigers still had the opportunity to have nine practice sessions and determined quite a bit moving forward.
One of the areas that will be continue to be up-in-the-air, though, is the back-up quarterback position.
Redshirt-freshman Taisun Phommachanh and true-freshman D.J. Uiagalelei entered the spring with a major battle brewing. Both quarterbacks are looking to gain playing time and become the second-string behind Trevor Lawrence for the 2020 Clemson football season.
The winner of the battle will have the inside track on the starting job when the Tigers take the field in 2021.
