CLEMSON, S.C. – Spurred by national championship appearances in football and men’s soccer, Clemson finished 2015-16 ranked 5thin the men’s standings of the Capital One Cup, the Tigers’ highest finish in the six years of the Cup.
Stanford claimed its first Capital One Cup on the men’s side, with Southern California earning the women’s Cup. Schools earn points based on their teams’ top-10 finishes in NCAA Division I championships and in final official coaches’ polls across 21 women’s and 20 men’s sports as they compete to win the Capital One Cup trophy and a combined $400,000 in scholarships for student-athletes.
