GREENVILLE – After spotting Virginia 12 points to start the game, Clemson lost to the No. 4 team in the country, 64-57.
Led by Jaron Blossomgame, who scored 31 points on 10 of 16 shooting, Clemson lost their third game in a row, which dropped the season record to 16-13 (9-8 ACC).
ACC Player of the Year candidate Malcolm Brogdon paced Virginia with 18 points, but two other Cavs starters scored in double-digits. The other two each had nine.
Blossomgame, once again carried the load for the Tigers, who didn’t have another double digit scorer.
Virginia opened with a 12-0 run, before the first media timeout (15:02).
