Charleston, SC – Clemson’s bats picked up where they left off Sunday as the Tigers cruised past the Citadel 12-1. A six run fifth inning put the game away and the Tigers cruised from there.
Weston Wilson remained on fire at the plate going 2-4 at the plate with four RBI’s. Andrew Cox hit his first home run as a Tiger, a thrree-run bomb to right.
The Tigers needed a strong start from Jake Higginbotham after using so many relievers over the weekend and they got one. Higginbotham went 5.0 innings and only gave up two hits, no runs and had eight strikeouts.
