It didn’t take very long for Clemson to take control of the season-opening match up against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
The Tigers scored early, often, and even with some sloppy play, came away with a 52-14 victory.
Following a muffed punt, Clemson took over with good field position and followed it up with a Trevor Lawrence rushing touchdown. Lawrence did an excellent job reading the defense and calling an audible to change to the play.
On the ensuing drive, Travis Etienne busted off a 90-yard scamper for a touchdown and all of a sudden, the Tigers were up 14-0.
