If the NCAA Tournament started today, the Clemson baseball team would be one of the last teams in the field.
Currently, the Tigers are projected to be the No. 3 seed in the Athens Regional (Georgia), which would also would feature Michigan and North Carolina A&T as an automatic qualifier.
Things depend a lot on what the NCAA selection committee looks at. The Tigers have a pretty solid RPI (in the mid to low 30s), but haven’t played well for a month now.
Though Clemson came up with a series win against Wake Forest this weekend, the Tigers still got blown out on senior day to close the weekend.
